To be clear, it is a revival very similar to the original from the end of the sixties and which has always been considered an icon in the world of watchmaking. The advertisement you see in black and white, honestly defines the characteristics and attributes of this watch. A robust watch - "tough", economical and practical, which is ideal for a truly varied series of subjects, such as, for example, pilots, divers and drivers, and businessmen. I really like the sentence that you can read at the bottom right of the advertisement, which emphasizes that the local time can be found (read) with a glance. Faithful reproduction of the iconic World Diver models of the 1950s, these unique timepieces with their retro design and modern specifications feature world map dials. The predecessor of this celebratory model symbolized the Japanese spirit of the time and which aspired to in-depth knowledge outside the homeland borders. Thanks to a play of perspective given by the glass, the dial appears spherical and has an internal bezel that can be rotated with the crown at 4 o'clock, and which allows a simplified view of the 24 hours.

But let's move on to today's versions of the watch, which I repeat, are very faithful to the original. Orient has produced this revival in three colorways, namely, bottle green, peacock blue and white-gold. Then there is a limited edition also, with a light blue and orange dial, and its price is relatively higher compared to the three standard versions, whose reference code is RN-AA0E04Y. The size of the watch is not that big, however, it is not suitable for a too thin wrist. The case, in fact, measures 43.5mm without crown and 46.5mm from lug to lug. The thickness of the case is 14.2mm, while the width of the bracelet is 20mm.

Before continuing, I recommend that you do not underestimate the White-Gold version, that is, Orient World Map RA-AA0E01S19B, which is in fact the most elegant and at the same time, the one that most enhances the originality of this watch. Orient F6922 automatic caliber with machine stop, bidirectional oscillating weight and 22 jewels. The calendar located at three o'clock indicates the name of the day of the week and the number of the month, and is in English and Spanish. Regarding the duration of the charge, the manufacturer declares an approximate duration of more than 40 hours, with a monthly accuracy difference of -15/+25 seconds. But apart from these technical details, the Orient World Map turns out to be a captivating and beautiful watch, simply beautiful.
