By now you have lost it forever, especially at barely 30 dollars. The model in question is called Casio MTP-1259PD-2AEF blue dial, and there is also its black dial version, namely, Casio MTP-1259PD-1AEF. Seriously, and I hope you didn't get upset, but if you really this Casio style, you can try these two models very similar: Casio MTP-V004L-2B (click here), and Casio MTP-V006D-2B (click here). Let's see together this Casio jewel, however, defined by many as a watch with perfect technical characteristics. A watch that is often confused with other very similar models and above all with its strictly female version.

And let's start with this basic misunderstanding, that is, whether this Casio is a men's or women's watch. This model, or the MTP series, is a men's watch, but given its size, and its minimal and very elegant appearance, it can be considered a perfect unisex watch. There are, however, two types of Casio very similar to this one, which are exclusively for women or men, due to their size, smaller for women, larger for men. The strictly female version is called Casio LTP-1259PD-2A (you can view this version on Amazon by clicking here). Either way, you can see how the two watches are virtually identical, and the women's version is simply smaller than the men's - unisex version.

To the question of which genre our Casio belongs to, we can bring back the only negative note of this model, which note, as a collector of Casio watches, I feel obliged to communicate and describe to you. The bracelet - strap. For God's sake, don't expect a poor quality chinos or bracelet. As you can see in the photo, it is one of many iconic and typical Casio stainless steel bracelets. We have the usual hollow steel links, of two different types, which allow the bracelet to be soft and absorb contractions or shocks. The links, as you can always see in the photo, are the classic Casio easily removable links, held firmly by small internal hooks. And the measurements of the bracelet? The width is 18 mm, while the length is about 8 cm for each side. To make it even shorter, my wrist measures 20cm in circumference, and I only had to remove the two links you see in the picture, to make it fit my wrist perfectly. Neither narrow nor wide.

The model, therefore, is suitable for almost all types of men's wrists, except for the really extra large ones. So, where is the problem that makes this little gem, for me, not perfect, but almost? The problem lies in Casio's forced choice, in using this bracelet precisely, because, if on the one hand it makes the model masculine, however, the bracelet attaches to the case thanks to a fragile hook placed in a central position, causing the suddenly the characteristics of robustness, compactness and reliability of the watch. In even simpler words, the bracelet makes the watch dance, and therefore, if you are forced to tighten it too much, even a slight pressure is enough to detach the strap from the dial, with all the risks involved. Much had to be done for a truly honest and impartial review. And now let's move on to the good stuff. Look at the photos I have attached! Ha ha ha ha!

Wait guys, I'll put my finger in the wound a little more with this other roundup of photos. Hi hi hi hi!

So, some data about the actual size of the case: weight around 94 grams with the bracelet, otherwise we're around 20 grams. The dial is exactly 4 cm from 3 to 9, also measuring the chaplet. On the back we find engraved, from top to bottom, the writings: Casio, the module number 2784 inside a rectangle, the name of the MTP-1259P series, ST. STEEL BACK, WATER RESISTANT , JAPAN MOV'T DY, CASED IN CHINA. The original Japanese movement, and the fact that this model, unlike many other Casio models, or even more expensive Casio brands, was only "cased" in China, make our MTP of 30 euros a watch unbeatable in terms of quality / price. There is very little to add, the clock breaks the second, at least mine. I check it every time the month has 30 days and when we have the transition from daylight saving time to standard time and vice versa. Not even a second forward or backward. Finally, the reason why I chose to add this model to my collection of 10 pcs from the Casio vintage and collection series lies in its minimal and retro-looking design typical not only of the Japanese house, but of many other brands that in the late seventies, early eighties, they produced bedroom alarm clocks with the same type of dial (do you remember the first alarm clocks by Braun, Seiko, etc.?). The only numbers are 12, 6 and 9, while the date is placed at 3 o'clock. Then we have fluorescent hands and notches of different sizes to indicate the other hours and minutes. Clean dial with Casio Quartz and Water Resist lettering only. Guys, what can I say, joking aside, and apologies again for having called you the c...... and at the beginning, I advise you not to miss it if you can find it for around 30 euros on Amazon or other retailers. I leave you with some of my customizations with leather straps for a few euros. Look how beautiful!
